You have no idea how crappy the weather is right now in bucklame. Spring officially started on the first of september and, since then, I’m pretty sure I’ve seen more rainfall than at any other stage of my life. It’s depressing to the point where, at the slightest hint of sun, I am out the door to suck all the Vitamin D out of it before it disappears again in a flash and threatens to never come back. Yes, that bad. I hate complaining about the weather all the time but, boy-oh-boy am I over this weather!

Anyway, the reason the image above has *nothing* to do with the first paragraph is because I want to get the first paragraph out of my head and think about happier things. Like spring and pretty flowers. I didn’t notice when I took that photo but, since then, a number of people have pointed out that it looks like the flower has eyes and is smiling. And I was like “oh yeah, it does look a bit like that”, and that made me like the photo a little bit more.

Good things about this week included a fun dinner that included lots of maragaritas and even caipirinhas and that was so good that may very well become a weekly ritual, and my serious return to after-work runs (with improved results every time I run - yay me!). The next step: go from after-work runs to before-work runs. Maybe.

Bad things about this week: the bus lockdown that made me leave home earlier and arrive later than normal and have to walk lots (and in the pouring rain, without an umbrella…), not being able to find an article on the computer despite the fact that I’m pretty sure I never deleted it, running one of those pieces of software that promise to recover your accidentally deleted files and get nothing from it.

Ah, well. Spring will eventually arrive, right? In the mean time, a flower that smiles to me whenever I look at it (yes, it does!) and a busy (the good-busy kind of busy) weekend ahead.
