Vera has been surviving the land of kiwis since 2008, living in Bucklame (also known as Auckland, for those who don’t use the stubborn predictive text feature of their cell phones). This blog is supposed to be a digital journal of her life in New Zealand (as well as her outings to see other parts of the world) and her views as a foreigner in the most remote developed country in the world.
She works as journalist and writer and when she’s not working she’s, either writing some more, reading so she can write better or walking around trying to find the next thing to write about. She drinks way more coffee than she should and owns way more pairs of shoes than she dares to admit. She also collects rolls of film that she is not sure that she’ll ever get around to develop.
